TBC Pub Company
Brief
The TBC Pub Company is the holding company for a trio of award winning Scottish pubs offering the best of local produce, entertainment and hospitality. The 3 pubs – The Ship Inn at Elie, The Crusoe at Lower Largo and The Bridge Inn at Ratho – all have a similar ethos yet offer very different experiences.
We were briefed to design and build a website for each of the pubs, bringing to life the defining character of each. The location of each pub was important in establishing a point of difference – whether the beach, the canal or the golf course. A sense of warmth, passion for good food and drink, relaxation, comfort and enjoyment of life were common to all.
Deliverables
We designed a common look, feel and layout for the websites to enhance the sense of belonging together. Heritage colours with a modern twist were adopted to echo the traditional values in modern settings. Photo shoots were conducted at each of the pubs to capture the tiny details and unique aspects of each – and food photography to showcase the range of tantalising dishes on offer.
The unique aspects of each location were harnessed to create a point of differentiation – from each other and from competitive establishments. The ability to toggle between sites enables comparison and encourages trial of the other pubs in the group.
