The Old Manor Hotel in Lundin links is a well established business and following a major refurbishment was looking to reposition themselves in the marketplace. The business was generally perceived as a golfer’s hotel which was certainly reinforced with a golf themed logo. The new brand was to have much broader appeal with a focus on the wedding and short breaks markets backed up by fantastic food and hospitality!
Our research found historical links between the building and the founders of the village, the Lundin family. A lion motif referencing the family crest was created to reinforce the theme of heritage, value and quality alongside supporting graphic elements based on local flora and fauna.
How the hotel communicated the multiple propositions was the key. Placing a sense of ownership on the audience across all facets of the hotel’s business was achieved using ‘Your place to…’ as an anchor then adding sector specific content – Your place to indulge, Your place to celebrate, Your place to tie the knot, Your place to take a breath.
